3 Phrases To
Unlock Gratitude

The power of saying, “Thank you, I’m sorry, and I love you.”

By DAILY TREASURER

INTRODUCTION

Relationships can get tense.  Misunderstandings can, and will, happen.  Sometimes, there seems to be a dry or apathetic spell going on.  There are many things that can put uncomfortable stress on a relationship.

So, how can we combat all sorts of negativity in order to preserve or revive a relationship (and even make it thrive)?

ACTION

Actively find opportunities to say the following three phrases to the people you love and appreciate.

1. “Thank you.”
2. “I’m sorry.”
3. “I love you.”

“Thank you” lets others know that they have had a positive impact in your life.  Maybe even in ways they did not expect.

“I’m sorry” lets others know that we’re not perfect.  We make mistakes, and we genuinely feel bad about what we did.  But, we choose to take responsibility (rather than hide behind excuses) and do our best to make amends.

“I love you” channels others’ needs to know that they matter so much to you.  That no matter how difficult the relationship can get, you still made an intentional choice to love them and be with them.

CONCLUSION

It’s one thing for people to see your actions speak.  After all, it is commonly said that “actions speak louder than words.”

However, I’ve been realizing more and more that people often just need to hear things.  To hear expressions of gratitude, apologies, and love.

This is a life lesson that I’m continuing to learn, and the three phrases have helped me to gain incredible depth in my relationships.

So, THANK YOU for your continued support in following me and browsing my blog!  Please let me know if you have any feedback or have any topic requests (in the comments section below this post)!  🙂
